Claire Pettibone Romantique, Cowboy Chic
Yippee-ki-yay!!! Clarie Pettibone’s runway show was the talk of the bridal market on Friday 4/17, and was a perfect example of how accessories completely define your wedding day look.
Pairing her gorgeous feminine lace wedding gowns from her Romantique Collection, with western attire, complete with cowboy boots, black cowboy hats, lariats and a western belt or two, the presentation provided a fun & refreshing look, as well as endorsed the current wedding day theme of barn yard weddings. Of course in our eyes, there was one perfect detail missing: jewelry. Turquoise or Native American inspired jewelry is definitely the finishing touch this look requires. See below for our ideas pairing these gowns with authentic Native American jewelry and some of our fabulous jewelry collections from Sorrelli.
Native American jewelry, especially designs from the Navajo Indians, offer absolutely fantastic statement rings and cuffs created with turquoise, coral, jet and mother of pearl stones set in sterling silver.
A lace bodice with a high neckline calls out for fantastic earrings to complete your look no matter what your wedding day style. A statement necklace can also be layered over the lace to add sparkle, color and claim your unique style. Of course, you don’t want the necklace to interfere with the beauty of the gown. A bold necklace that is in contrast to the fabric will enhance the gown and take your look from ordinary to extraordinary.
Sorrelli’s upcoming Sangria Collection will have a variety of necklaces, earrings, bracelets, cuffs and cocktail rings combining burgundy and turquoise colors against antique gold. A stunning contrast against ivory or black lace.
Grab your boots, your 10 gallon hat, and throw in some sparkle, and you have perfected the Western Wedding theme style.
