Therefore, when opened, the left side is always blank which provides a more elegant look and allows you to use this side for wedding day photos and mementos.

• Blank paper encourages your guests to write more than their signature, perhaps a little note, and you can also use it as a photo album or scrap books too.

The wedding guest book is most commonly left out for guests to sign as they enter the reception area. For small weddings and outdoor weddings it may be left out for guests to sign as they enter the area the ceremony will take place or the entrance to any area where all the guests will pass through. At large weddings, it is also nice to have someone assigned to take the book from table to table half way through the reception to allow those who haven't signed the book to do so.
