The Countdown

One week prior to your wedding, all your energy should focus on you. It is time to pamper yourself and partake in your favorite beauty and relaxation activities. Here are a few items you don't want to loose sight of:

HAIR & MAKE-UP REHEARSAL

If you are doing your hair and makeup yourself, practice a few more times several days to a week ahead of time. Perhaps even take a few pictures to ensure that you like the way your makeup appears photographed.

FACIAL

Should be done 5 days prior. If you would like to do one yourself, here is a simple 3-step process:

  • Cleanse your face
  • Exfoliate with a cleansing or moisturizing mask, you can even do both
  • Moisturize with your favorite products

Remember: don't try anything new.

MASSAGE

Schedule a massage at least 3-4 days prior and perhaps a 2nd one the day before. You might even want to follow up with a bubble bath. Investigate the ever so popular aromatherapy selections.

WAXING

Wax 3-4 days before, or whatever you find works best for you. You want to ensure that your skin has time to recover.

PEDICURE & MANICURE

Visit your favorite studio the day before. You might want to do an at-home pedicure 4 days ahead if your feet need some extra softening.

SELF-TANNER

For those who want a bit of color on their wedding day, apply in thin coats 2 days prior. Use a tanner you have practiced with before. You don't want any orange or streaky surprises.

THE DAY PRIOR

Repeat any of the above. Spend time at your favorite and most relaxing activities, and be sure to do any of your usual beauty routines, such as tweezing, moisturizing, shaving, etc. ... Then get ready for an exciting night at the rehearsal dinner.
